This plugin adds the capability to reply to comments, and show the replies differently (ie: indented) using a different class than for normal comments.
Feel free to try, test, and do whatever you want with it. If you find any bugs, as I’m sure there’ll be plenty, let me know, I’ll fix them if I can.

Updated 06/25/2008: Put the javascript output in a new tag. It was being printed on plugin load, which made it appear even when retrieving css. Now you need to put a cha_jscript tag into one of the forms (see the plugin help for details and an example).

This is a really interesting plugin – how would I make it so you can reply to a name instead of the comment ID number?
I guess you could just look up the parent comment’s id, then get the author and print that instead, But it could be confusing, since the same person could have posted several comments, and you wouldn’t know which one you’re replying to.
Maybe you could include both the comment author and the id.
Did either of you figure out how to reply by author? I’m lost when it comes to javascript so I thought I’d check.
Haven’t modified the plugin yet, I haven’t played with textpattern in a while, and haven’t yet put my site back (not much time these days, lots of work to do). I’ll keep this in mind for a future update and post here when I add it.
