I am trying to set content for a div. Here is my code:

And process.php will return something like this:

When I click on the link, a window should pop up. It does not work. It works for all other elements with this same structure on the page though. Is there something different about this line of html that is inserted into the page?

I am creating a registration form, and would like one step to fade out to the right, and the next to fade in to the right, center of the page. One of the issues that I've noticed is stacking. As my setup is right now, my second step would come under step one. What is the best way to do this?

I am trying to create a check all checkbox. I have the following code, and would like to send it to a page for validation.

Is this the right way to send a php array?
I also have this defined before the .ajax:

I am trying to change the html of a span. Here is my code:
$("'#"+spanName+"'").html('<img src="images/image.jpg" width="20" height="20" />');
It does not modify the html though.

I have a form that I would like to do validation with, and I have tried using .keypress, but I find that when it submits, it does not get the most recent update to the text (for example, i have 123, and i type 4, and it returns 123). i also tried keydown, but when I hit the enter key to the dialog, another dialog box opens since i pressed down a key to accept that dialog box. what is the best way to capture current text in a text field?

I have a link as such:

and my code:

It does not pop up with the alert box though.

I am trying to put form elements into an array. I have the following code:
- var formFields = $('#form1').find('input, textarea, button, select');
for ( var i = 0; i < formFields.length; i = i + 1 ) {
alert(formFields[i]);
}
The text that comes up is only this:
- [object HTMLInputElement]
How do I change this so that I am getting the names/ids of each field in the form?

I have the following code that processes a page, which sends it to php for validation, etc.

What happens is that when it gets to the process.php, it does not do anything with it, because I tried putting an "echo 'hello'" on that page, but it is not echoed.

I have the following code:

I have the following at the beginning of my page:
$(".emails").load("checkMail.php");
It loads the rows. The rows go like this:
echo "<div id='$id' class='messageRow'><tr class='messageRow' id='$id'>...
When a row is clicked on, I would like an action performed, and to get the ID of it as well. I have the following to act when the row is clicked on:
$(".messageRow").click(function() {
alert('ok!');
});
It does not respond when a row is clicked on though. Any ideas?

I am trying to use the jQuery File tree, and set root to '.'. Nothing is showing up, and there are several folders within the working directory.
