Last week, Microsoft released several important updates for SQL Server 2008. First, is the May 2009 update for SQL Server 2008 Books Online. Microsoft also released Cumulative Update 2 for SQL Server 2008 SP1, and Cumulative Update 5 for SQL Server 2008 RTM.
My understanding is that only CU2 for SQL Server 2008 SP1 (Build 2714) has the new trace flag setting that allows you to enable “Lock Pages in Memory” for SQL Server 2008 Standard Edition.
