The Challenge
Empowering event platform, Version Two, through intelligent insights automation
Version Two is the UK-based SaaS company behind Evessio, a leading cloud-native platform supporting awards, conferences, and virtual events. Designed to streamline the end-to-end event experience — from registration and ticketing to judging and delivery — the platform is trusted by publishers and enterprise organisers alike.
As Version Two set out to build the next generation of their platform, Generative AI emerged as a key enabler. While they had already begun experimenting with OpenAI’s ChatGPT to gain insights into event data and optimise manual data processing activities, the workflow proved effective but remained slow, and was not scalable.
The team recognised the need to move toward a secure, scalable, and AWS-native solution that could integrate seamlessly with their multi-tenant architecture — and support a fast-approaching MVP launch.
The Solution
From concept to capability: a tailored Proof of Concept powered by Amazon Bedrock
Working closely with Version Two’s Co-founder and CTO Paul and technical stakeholders, Devoteam engaged through the ADAPT program to design and deliver a targeted Proof of Concept focused on intelligent analysis and report generation.
The goal? Demonstrate how AWS Bedrock’s foundation models could automate the summarisation of key data from event cycles — without compromising quality or control.
From the outset, Devoteam rapidly understood the nuances of the use case. The engagement was shaped around Paul’s specific objectives, and quickly evolved into a deeper collaborative process. The customer noted how the structured delivery and technical insight unlocked a broader understanding of AWS-native services and modern data processing architectures.
The final result was a functional Proof of Concept demonstrating a reusable, modular summarisation framework — designed to scale across competition formats, with contextually aware outputs tailored to domain-specific criteria. Devoteam went beyond the core ask by designing a forward-thinking call structure and ensuring downstream integration could be supported as the platform evolved.
The Results
A future-ready framework for scalable, secure GenAI integration
The Proof of Concept laid the foundation for integrating summarisation directly into Evessio’s new platform as part of their November MVP.
Key outcomes included:
- Significant reduction in manual workload across event cycles
- Improved time-to-insight, with automated reports reducing turnaround
- Increased platform governance and flexibility via Bedrock-managed models
- Deeper understanding of AWS services, helping the customer shape future AI initiatives
With a successful Proof of Concept now complete, Version Two is well-positioned to embed secure, cost-effective Generative AI across its platform — and continue delivering innovation at scale.
It was a pleasure working with the Devoteam team. They quickly understood my requirements, helped shape the solution, and went the extra mile to deliver a project that integrates seamlessly with both our existing and future processes. Communication was clear and proactive throughout, and their review stages were thorough and collaborative. This project has been instrumental in kickstarting a key enhancement to our platform.
