Empowering Young Coders: Tackling Challenges with Tech and Funding
“Together with Devoteam Foundation, we shape a future where children gain knowledge, skills and passion for technology. Your donation fuels our impactful work, empowering young girls through Coderdojo4Girlz”
CoderDojo is a non-profit organisation that organises free coding clubs for children and young people aged 7 to 18. They had a challenge to the lack of oversight and standardization in volunteer-contributed materials that lead to misplaced, duplicated, or outdated content, poor visuals, non-editable formats, missing translations, mixed branding, and limited search functionality. In Autumn 2024, Devoteam Belgium conducted a #TechForPeople Lab in collaboration with CoderDojo to explore solutions to these challenges, providing the association with valuable insights and possible approaches. Additionally, CoderDojo received financial support through Devoteam Foundation’s Call for Projects, empowering them to continue their work to encourage young people to gain experiences and technical skills that they can use in the future.

Facilitate disability at work

Since 2007, Devoteam has actively promoted diversity and the employment of disabled individuals. Our current disability policy, launched in 2024, focuses on four key areas:
- Partnerships: We actively collaborate with Disabled Friendly Companies (DFCs) for various services and offer our employees’ skills to support them.
- Recruitment & Development: We’re committed to hiring and supporting the career growth of disabled employees.
- Workplace Adaptation: We provide tailored adjustments like ergonomic workstations and specific equipment to ensure our disabled team members can thrive.
- Awareness & Training: We offer learning opportunities for all employees to foster an inclusive environment, with mandatory training for recruiters and managers. Our “Handicap mission” also organises events like the European Disability Employment Week to raise awareness.
Promoting Tech career & training possibilities to wider population
Devoteam Luxembourg has established partnerships with Lycée Guillaume Kroll and CESI school, delivering sessions on AI, CyberSecurity, Open Source technologies and Microsoft solutions to students.
These initiatives not only provide valuable tech exposure to wider groups but also offer Devoteam employees the opportunity to enhance their public speaking skills and promote the company’s values and culture within the educational sphere, ultimately contributing to a more diverse and inclusive tech workforce.
In addition, Devoteam actively participated in mock interview sessions and job fairs organised by both institutions, with the dual objective of promoting career opportunities within the company and preparing students for their transition into the professional world.

International Women in Tech Talk with Fatia Balit, Chief Information Officer at BNP Paribas Asset Management
Devoteam had the pleasure to welcome Fatia-Fatma Balit, Chief Information Officer at BNP Paribas Asset Management for an insightful and engaging conference.
Her core message emphasised the importance of fostering authenticity and encouraging everyone to be true to themselves, underlined the significance of adopting a mindset that recognises no limits and echoed increased advocacy for girls in IT.
The hybrid event, led simultaneously in Paris and live across all Devoteam geographies, brought together around 500 devotees and BNP Paribas participants.
Promote health and wellbeing
To empower employees to achieve success and ensure that they can thrive, Devoteam prioritises their health and well-being, driving initiatives and providing services to support physical, mental, and social health.

Encourage Devoteamers Citizenship through Devoteam Foundation
In 2018, the Devoteam Foundation launched the #TechforPeople program to support associations and social entrepreneurs in their digital strategy through our people’s commitment.
This program offers consultants different engagement formats to discover social innovation, accompany associations and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and inspire social entrepreneurs.
- Pro Bono work: to help NGOs and associations define their needs around tech and offer our support on their transformation plans for the long run.
- #TechforPeople Labs: a 3-hour smart and multidisciplinary workshop where a mix of Devoteam experts solve business and tech issues for a specific NGO.
